work,fun,madness.

A few more weeks and I will be on vacation. I can't wait! I will be going to Wildwood ( an east cost beach) with my girlfriend for three nights. It will mark our 1 year together. Ah, how time goes by in a year; every moment with her I will cherish . June 13th is almost here and I'm not looking forward to doing school work that week, but it must be done. I wish I could forget about work and school because they stress me out the most, but 1 for 2 is not bad.

Work is a whole different story with stress, I'm glad I won't have to deal with them for a week. Life at Walmart is not fun; to my readers, boycott the store, don't shop there! It is a mutual feeling when customers hate employee's. They come in to shop with bad attitudes all the time and I wish I could say, stay the F-ck out of my store. But I don't because I need money. Listen, just because you shop in Walmart with your 40K+ a year money does not give you the right how to tell me how to do my -20K a year job. So for one week I will forget all this and hopefully I can day dream all week about the day I get a new job... hopefully something with nutrition!

  1. Hey Tom,
Sounds like your vacation will be somewhat relaxing even though you still have school to deal with. Where on the east cost is Wildwood? I hate to burst your bubble but I don't think that all the horrible customers just go to Walmart. I think there are just a lot of rude people out in the world that take it out on strangers just because they can. Sorry you have to deal with those sort of people. What in nutrition to you want to explore when you are done with school?

  2. Hey Tom,

First and foremeost, Congrats on your one year anniversary! It is great that you will get to go on vacation. I live on the east coast and it is just starting to warm up nicely around here.
As far as Walmart goes, I hear you. They moved into our town and most of our local stores shut down. Every time I go in there it amazes me at the amount of rude people there are. Not really the employees but the customers. They are awful and I have often said they could not pay me enough to work there and be that stressed. I realize there are rude people in every store but for some reason I just see more of it in Walmart.
One the good side of things, at least your going back to school and when your finished you can get a job somewhere else. I think you will get a great job and finally be paid what your worth.
    Have a good weekend!:)

  3. Congrats on the one year anniversary. I am also coming up on my one year anniversary but did not realize how close it was until reading your blog. My anniversary is June 19th and we are planning a trip to NYC, or at least thats what I believe we decided on. Enjoy the week of being able to relax and not having to deal with the rude customers at Wal Mart. I worked there when I was living in Maine and it is so hard sometimes to stay polite when you have to deal with someone who is being rude but I have found the more polite and positive you are the more is pissses them off because they are not affecting you, or at least they do not think they are.

  4. Sorry I am taking too long to respond. My PS3 has been calling my name a lot lol. Wildwood is on the cost of New Jersey. Atlantic City is also in New Jersey. I would love to work in a children’s hospital when I get my degree. Thanks for the congrats ladies. :) So much as happened in one year. This time a year ago I was just starting school. The more I think about it, humans can be rude at times; it doesn’t matter if you work there or if you shop there. I hope I can get a good job when I graduate. Congrats to you too Valerie. True story, that’s my girlfriends name also. lol. Our anniversary is on the 13th though. I have worked at Wal-mart for almost 5 years... I can't take anymore! How long did you work there? Do you still work in retail?
